About Eric
I bring several years of experience in community mental health, substance use services, and case management. I use a holistic, person-centered, and strengths-based approach, focusing on the whole person rather than just symptoms. My style is collaborative and supportive, emphasizing emotional safety, respect, and genuine connection so that you can move at a pace that feels right for you.
I am a counseling intern at Discovery and Wellness Counseling, serving clients in Scottsdale (85258) and North Phoenix/Anthem (85086). I am currently completing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University and work under clinical supervision as part of my training.
Working With Me at Discovery & Wellness
At Discovery and Wellness Counseling in North Phoenix and Scottsdale, I strive to create a counseling experience that feels safe, compassionate, and authentic. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families seeking support with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse recovery, and relationship or family stress, both in-person and via telehealth for Arizona residents.
I believe that meaningful growth does not have to be rushed. I will help you slow down, explore what is happening in your life, and reconnect with what matters most to you. Drawing from a strengths-based and family systems lens, I support individuals, couples, and families in recognizing patterns that keep them feeling disconnected, while building healthier communication, boundaries, and connection. I have a particular interest in supporting clients coping with anxiety, depression, and substance use recovery, helping you cultivate practical coping skills, self-compassion, and sustainable change.
Why I Chose Counseling
My path into the mental health field began with my own personal journey in recovery. Being met with care, patience, and understanding during difficult seasons helped me experience the power of people helping people and the courage it takes to reach out for support. These experiences inspired me to pursue clinical mental health counseling so I could offer that same sense of hope, connection, and possibility to others who may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or alone.
Pricing
I offer affordable counseling for adolescents, adults, families, and couples, ranging from $55.00–$75.00 per session, focusing on anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, recovery, relationship concerns, and life transitions in a warm and grounded therapeutic space.
Roots in Arizona and Holistic Perspective
Growing up in Flagstaff, Arizona, and having a background in environmental science has shaped how I understand health and wellbeing. I view mental health as deeply connected to our environment, relationships, and lived experiences. This perspective guides me to practice counseling in a holistic way, integrating mind, body, relationships, and environment in the healing process.
If you live in the North Phoenix/Anthem 85086 area or the Scottsdale 85258 area and are looking for an intern-level counselor who is down-to-earth, systems-minded, and deeply committed to your growth, I would be honored to support you on your journey.
